They've Changed

"I've worn this style of shorts for years. The last order has changed. The sizing seems to be running smaller and the light colors are now quite dark. Ordered 4 pairs and had to return all 4."

Material makes a difference!

"The grey and grey/green material is thicker than the stuff used on the white with light blue stripes version of the same pair of shorts. The white with light blue stripes showed up completely wrinkled, had to be washed before wearing, and looks like it needs an ironing after drying in the dryer. The others are wearable out of the package, wash and dry normally without wrinkles."

Cons: light colored fabric wrinkles terribly

"The shorts look great, but unfortunately, they are a bit too long. Not all of us are 6' tall. If your on the short side, these "shorts" will fit more like capris."

Pocket Button Flaps

"Would have rather had Velcro pocket flap hold downs than those imposable button inside flaps. Who ever came up with those button down flaps should be fired. My wife is changing them over to Velcro as I write this review. Other wise the cargo shorts are great."

"These shorts are awesome! Comfortable and stylish. Nice, deep front pockets and they now have velcro closures on the rear BDU pocket flaps, which is a very nice addition. I would recommend these to anyone."

Just the right features, no excess fluff

"Firstly, most cargo jeans fail miserably on one simple-but-essential feature: hem drawstrings. As a cyclist, I appreciate not having the hem of my shorts get caught on the water-bottle holder or mini-pump on the downtube of my bikes...a situation that be downright dangerous at worst. I'm sure someone besides Lee has figured this out, but I found Lee's offering first, and I'm sticking to them. The fact that the price is "right" doesn't hurt much either.
As a photographer who still insists on shooting film for most work, I appreciate the numerous pockets for stowing film, batteries, and the usual assorted *tchotchkes* photographers tend to drag along."
