"I HAVE BEEN A BIG FAN OF THESE JEANS FOR YEARS.COULDNT HARDLY FIND THEM.THE LAST 3 YEARS.GOT WORRIED AND BOUGHT THE LEE PREMIUM.NOT EVEN CLOSE TO WHAT I WANTED.THE CARPENTER JEANS ARE IN A LEAGUE OF THERE ON.YES THEY GET HOLES AROUND THE POCKETS BUT NOTHINGS PERFECT.I STARTED 8 YEARS AGO WITH 5 PAIR.AND AS OF 2012 I STILL HAVE 2 PAIR AND I WEAR THEM EVERY WEEK.AND NOW IM BACK TO GET 5 MORE PAIR TODAY.MAYBE THEY WILL GET ME TO THE YEAR 2020.BUY SOME OR BUY ALOT THEY ARE GREAT.NOT BEING PAID TO SAY THESE GREAT THINGS ABOUT LEES PANTS.BUT IF THEY WANT TO PAY ME.I WILL TAKE MY PAY IN NEW PANTS.LOL"

The Good and the Bad

"I love these jeans for the fit since I work construction. HOWEVER, they wear out just above the rear pockets and at the belt loop connections within a couple of months. I wish they would improve the material strength or reinforce these areas better. I'm thinking of changing brands because of the poor construction. :("

Jeans get holes after 2 washes!!!

"We have been buying these jeans for over 10 years in the JC Penny store locally, but the last 2 times we had to order them. I just purchased 5 more pair and every single pair has already ripped out in the same exact place- left rear pocket and front by the zipper near the stitching. It hasn't even been 2 months.The material is way, way too wimpy now! My husband has a bad back and these jeans were the only ones he could wear comfortably- that's the truth. Now he says unless you change the material back to being stronger like it was he will never be able to buy them again. Even if they lasted 6 months that would be fine, but a month and the holes are already so big we had to throw them out? Not acceptable quality. Time to start paying attention to what many customers have been trying to tell you PLEASE! We need these jeans to be the way they were."

Poor Quality

"I have been wearing these jeans for over 10 years. Recently the carpenter jeans develop holes immediately after 1 machine wash. They also have a hole appear at the upper back pockect which gets bigger and bigger and rips out. Terrible quality from a reputable name. I have bought 7 pairs of carpenter jeans that have all met the same description from above. I will never buy these again."

"Jeans were improperly labeled 42x30 and were much longer than 30" and had to be tailored shorter making the jeans quite costly."

"I just received my first order from Lee.com and I am very pleased with my purchase. My retro stone carpenter jeans arrived in only two days. They fit great, the color is true to the on-line depiction, and they only cost me about $27 shipped to my door!
I have always liked Lee carpenter jeans for the fit, despite the on-going rear pocket tear issue. I'm a bodybuilder with big legs and these fit my physique great.
The ability to just order them on-line is a huge plus for a guy who hates shopping in stores."

Great Jeans but pockets wear out

"I love these jeans. I have several pairs. I love the fact that I can pack my cell phone in its own separate pocket. My one complaint is that they seem to all fall apart in the same area--the upper, medial corner of the back pocket. Pretty soon my underwear is showing and I've got to buy new ones. Would love it if that area could somehow be reinforced."

Style with great fit.

"I can not ever find my size waist and length in department stores and the website gives me those sizes to choose from, as in 30 waist 34 length. Style along with great fit and look. Best fitting Jean for me. Jeans are also ruggid and durable. Very comfortable fit. I love my Lee Jeans !"

Great Jeans-Little Expenise on your website

"Couldn't find these in my local store, so I decided to order from the website. Pants are great, service was great, but if I could find the color I wanted in the stores I would by it there because it's less expense."

"On the money, Tribby and others. This is a well-fitting and well-priced carpenter jean. I've bought approx. 10-15 pair in the last 5 years, and every pair has failed in the exact same location: the right/rear/top/inside corner pocket. I do pack a wallet in my left rear pocket, but I don't do any strenuous work in them either. Is a fix possible?"

Great fit, lacking quality!!!!

"I have worn these jeans for about 4 years now. The jeans fit great, but, the quality of the materials being used is severely lacking. Every pair I have owned( about 25-30 pair) end up with a hole in the top corner of the back pockets right where the pocket is stitched on(I do not carry a wallet in my back pocket). I get about 2 months out of them before the holes start showing up and that is why I gave them a 2 star overall rating. Value got 3 stars because $30 is an average price for a "good" pair of jeans, but I had trouble rating the value as average due to the fact I am only getting about 4 months out of them. Lee really needs to do something about the quality because this really seems to be an issue for more than just me."

"I bought a new pair of Lee Dungarees Carpenter Jeans.In just a short time they got a dime size hole at the top of the rear pocket. I have had several pair of these in the past with no problem,but these are trash!"
